In Transcarpathia, filming started for The Rising Hawk historical action

In Transcarpathia, in Synevir clearing the filming of historical action feature The Rising Hawk has begun; it is directed by Akhtem Seytablaev and created by Kinorob with the support of Ukrainian State Film Agency. The film authors plan to complete the shooting process in late August, and the premiere is scheduled for 2019.
The Rising Hawk action film based on a novella Zakhar Berkut by Ivan Franko will feature a large international cast from Ukraine, the US, Kazakhstan, the UK, and Mongolia. According to previous reports, the film crew of The Rising Hawk was enlarged thanks to Hollywood counterparts. Together with Akhtem Seitablaev, John Wynn works on the film as co-director. From the American side, the movie is produced by Jeff Rice, Yuriy Karnovsky, and Raja Collins. Ivan Franko International Foundation is the film’s partner and consultant.
Synopsis: The year is 1241. The Mongol horde lead by cruel khan Burunda moves west, destroying everything in its path. Reaching the Carpathian mountains, the troops camp right below. However, at night several local hunters, the Berkut brothers, secretly enter the camp and free the hostages. Consumed with rage, the khan decides to take revenge and destroy the Carpathian settlements. A traitor amongst the locals tells the Mongols about a secret passage inside the mountains. Nevertheless, a small group of mountain hunters led by Zakhar Berkut has its plan to stop the enemy horde once and for all.
