Kinorob Starts to Return Funds Allocated for The Stronghold Production to Ukrainian State Film Agency

The first portion of funds was transferred to the Agency’s account on December 8, 2017
Kinorob started returning funds allocated for The Stronghold fantasy film production to Ukrainian State Film Agency. The first portion, namely 1,020,000 UAH, was transferred to the Agency’s account on December 8, 2017. Further transfers are planned at the expense of wide-scale international distribution of the film.
In particular, presently the rights to Ukrainian fantasy film have been sold to China, South Korea, India, Japan, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan, the Maldives, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Russia, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, France and French-speaking territories, Italy, Spain, and Canada.
Since December 2017, the film with English subtitles has been available to the residents of 27 countries in the libraries of major VOD platforms, iTunes and Amazon Prime. In autumn 2017, The Stronghold was released in the cinemas of Belarus and Kazakhstan.
The Stronghold is a Ukrainian feature fantasy film based on a book with the same title by Volodymyr Rutkivsky and released on October 12, 2017. Presently, 276,018 viewers saw the movie in the cinemas, and its Ukrainian box office amounts to 19,084,021 UAH.
